Frank Alexander

Executive Director, Trustee & Founder

Frank was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on the Manzano Air Force Base — the son of a Korean War and pre-escalation Vietnam War veteran. Raised in Philadelphia and a resident of Washington Township since 2018, he is a devoted father of four and a proud grandfather of five.

With a career spanning 38 years in the auto industry — as owner, general manager, and finance director — Frank now runs a consulting company. Deeply involved in community and church life through the Knights of Columbus Sancta Familia Council #11498, he founded the TriState Veterans Memorial Fund to make a meaningful difference for veterans.

Al is a 41-year resident of Washington Township and a retired Union Ironworker of 50 years. He chairs the Washington Township Planning Board and has given decades to youth coaching, his church, and the Knights of Columbus.

It was Al’s service with the 348th General Hospital as a Hospital Corpsman during the Vietnam era that drew him to this work. Having seen first-hand the effects of combat — including on the mentally wounded — Al hopes the Fund will give veterans a space of belonging. “We will let them know they’re not alone and people do care.”

Vice President

Frank has been a parishioner of the Church of the Holy Family and a resident of Washington Township for forty-five years. A member of the Knights of Columbus Sancta Familia Council, he served as Grand Knight and is presently a Trustee of the council.

Retired from Boilermakers Local 28 after forty-one years of service, Frank sits on the board of the TriState Veterans Memorial Fund and truly enjoys working for the betterment of our veterans.

Dominic "Dom" Renzi

Treasurer

Dom has been a proud resident of Washington Township for 46 years. His professional career spanned the banking and account-management industry, where he rose to Vice President of Operations.

A devoted member of the Knights of Columbus — having achieved the 4th Degree, the order’s highest rank — Dom is passionate about his work with the Fund. He is dedicated to erasing the stigma surrounding mental health and to ensuring veterans know they are not alone in their struggles.

Peter Del Borrello, III

Founder & Honorary Member

Peter M. Del Borrello III is a dedicated public servant and President of the Council for Washington Township, Gloucester County. Before public life, he built a career in financial services, real estate, and venture capital.

Peter is immensely proud of his family’s military heritage — the grandson of two Navy veterans and the nephew of a Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient. That legacy inspires his commitment to supporting veterans and their families.

Advisory Board

Lori and her husband Frank have been residents of Washington Township for 30 years. She is the Coordinator of Senior Programs and Veteran Affairs for the Township of Washington, and serves as liaison to the Township’s Veterans and Senior Center Advisory Boards.

The proud daughter of the late Lt. Colonel James DeBerardinis — who flew in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam — Lori’s mission is to enhance the lives of others, with special attention to the veterans of the United States of America.

Mike McGinty

Advisory Board

Mike was raised in Philadelphia and South Jersey and built a 30-year career as an IRS agent, rising to Supervisory Branch Chief — followed by years as a director at KPMG and as a CPA.

A 4th-Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Mike joined the Advisory Board of the TriState Veterans Memorial Fund to serve as a resource for veterans who suffer from service-related issues and other conditions.

Jeffrey DiNoto

Advisory Board

Jeffrey has been a resident of Washington Township since 2001. He holds a degree in Criminal Justice from Camden County College and a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University.

A retired police officer with 27 years of law-enforcement experience, Jeffrey now serves as a School Resource Officer in Washington Township. He is active in youth coaching and in parish life at the Church of the Holy Family.

Veteran · U.S. Army

A proud resident of Washington Township since 1963, Robert E. Timmons is widely recognized as a pillar of the community. He has served on the Veterans Board, the Board of Economic Development, and the Historic Preservation Commission, and earned the Rick Zammer Award for Man of the Year.

Owner and operator of Timmons Barbershop for over 30 years, Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era — continuing a proud family tradition of military service spanning five generations since World War I.

Jim moved to Washington Township in 1974 and graduated from Washington Township High School. He and his wife Bethann have raised five children and have three grandsons.

Jim joined the Hurffville Fire Company as a volunteer in 1987 and was among the first group of paid firefighters hired in 1999. Promoted to Captain in 2002, he still holds that position, and serves his parish as an usher and Eucharistic Minister.

Barbara McCormick

Veteran · U.S. Air Force

Barbara McCormick, DNP, RN, CEN has over 30 years of nursing experience with Jefferson Health. She earned her doctorate at Drexel University and is an adjunct professor at Thomas Jefferson University.

Commissioned in the U.S. Air Force Reserve Nurse Corps in 1994, Lt. Col. McCormick deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq, and currently serves as Chief Nurse for the 166th Medical Group, Delaware Air National Guard. She has been an American Legion member for over 20 years and has served on the Washington Township Veterans Advisory Board for two decades.

Veteran · U.S. Air Force

Born in Camden and raised in Mantua Township, Frank graduated from Texas A&M University and joined the Air Force in 1969, earning his pilot wings and flying tactical airlift missions throughout Southeast Asia.

Frank accrued over 500 hours of combat time and rose to become Chief of Staff for the Delaware Air National Guard, retiring as a Brigadier General. He is a frequent community speaker on veterans’ issues, including PTSD and moral injury.
